1 - Tampopo (Japan, 1985) – 7.9/10

Often dubbed a "ramen western," this film follows a truck driver who aids a widow in perfecting her noodle shop. The narrative playfully explores the intersections of food, love, and culture through various vignettes.

This is one of the best Korean movies I ever watched.

2 - Estômago (Brazil, 2007) – 7.8/10

A darkly comedic tale of Raimundo Nonato, a man from Brazil's Northeast who discovers his culinary talents in São Paulo. His rise in the kitchen world intertwines with a gripping prison drama, highlighting themes of power and survival. I also shared it in my best Brazilian movies post.
